Hahahaha, I think AI actually captured my look quite well this time! But what is that little grey box to my right? Instruction to AI: Woman with short, white pixie-cut hair and thick black glasses. She is sitting at a monitor and keyboard at her desk, looking at bare trees blowing in the wind. She is feeling a bit sorry for herself.

51. Monday 23 March 2026

I edited twenty pages today, which is my highest daily page count since I started this particular edit (now on page 94 of 207). That said, I don’t feel as pleased with myself as I might have expected.

I woke up at about 3.30 in the morning feeling like I was going to be sick. It passed fairly quickly but I’ve no idea where that came from. Today I feel a bit out of sorts, though I don’t feel ill. It’s also been grey and chilly all day. On Saturday, it was sunny and warm and everything seemed possible. In fact, I spent pretty much the whole day cleaning and tidying ahead of a couple coming to view the house and for my friend who’s staying from Wednesday, and I enjoyed it. I thought I might edit a bit yesterday but that didn’t happen. I think today is just a bit of a meh kind of day, though one in which I actually achieved quite a lot in terms of editorial progress.
